Rob's Graduation!!
I can't believe Rob is so close to being done with his Bachelor's! Saturday Dec. 13th he "walked" but he still has one semester left. BYUH only has graduation in June and Dec. so he had to walk early. It was awesome having Rob's family here to support him. President Eyring was the speaker and he gave good counsel.

Potts Party
Almost all of Rob's immediate family came for his commencement in December. We were just missing 8 of the grandkids. It was so much fun to see family after being away for a year. Kareena and Matt surprised us by bringing their daughter who we hadn't met yet, and Tony and Nicole brought their daughter as well. It was a fun surprise! Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate while they were here and we had horrible flooding the first day. It rained every day they were here.

My friend Rose's apt was among those ruined :(

Going to the beach at Turtle Bay
Playing Cranium and Dominoes

Matt not so sure about the sushi
Kohl's not a fan either
Kohl
Nicole and Emma
Party of 16 at Kua'Aina
Brian and Krystal's surf lesson from Nate
I'm glad they were fans of this place
Watching the Canoe Pageant at PCC

Spear tossing
"He asked for a 13 and they drew a 31..."
Tony's inner Tongan drummer came out

Tamera and Krystal at the Luau

Jimmy and Kohl getting out of the rain
At Kahana Bay
My fav pic of Rob and Brian. Besides swimming under rainbows, they enjoyed a moonlit stroll on the beach...

Trip to the Big Island
So our trip to the Big Island was a lot of fun! I was gonna be good and get this posted a few days after our trip and I had everything ready except I needed to scan some pics, and then I just got too busy with family visiting, graduation, and then Christmas. So, thank you to those who are still here checking my blog when it has been dead for so long!
We went all over the island which was a lot of driving. It was fun in our convertible though. The highlights of the trip were kayaking, the Volcano Park, and Waipio Valley. If you've ever been to Waipio Valley you can appreciate the fact that we hiked down to the valley in flip flops. It's a 25% grade and was the most strenuous hike I've done (not that I've done that many).
Rob and I didn't talk about work or school while we were there. It was so great! We laughed so much together and just had FUN. It reminded me of all our road trips when we were engaged/first married.
(It might be easier to read the captions if you click "View All Images")
These are from our kayak adventure in Keauhou Bay, taken with a waterproof camera so they're not the best quality. The water was deep blue and clear enough to see down at least 40 feet. It was prettier than the water I've seen on Oahu. We kayaked about 3 miles round trip and got to go in a cave, cliff jump, snorkel, and picnic.
