Bailamos!

We went to our ward Mexican Fiesta this weekend.

Mustaches were required.
Rob's first one was lopsided (no offense Cameron)

So I had them fix it.

Axel and Jenny cooked delicious chicken enchiladas and everyone brought yummy salsas and beans.

Axel taught us a salsa dance lesson and now we can all go on Dancing with the Stars. We're that good. Haha, not really, but it was fun!

Valley of the Temples

Last Sunday, between Stake Conference, we went down to Valley of the Temples. It's a memorial park but also has a Buddhist temple. It's called the Byodo-in Temple and has an 18 ft. Buddha inside. The grounds were very pretty and peaceful and we enjoyed walking around.

Asa, Darlene, Dustin, Hiva, Rob, and meBefore we went in the temple we rang the bon-sho (sacred bell) to bring good fortune.

Afterwards we had a picnic at Chinaman's Hat. It was very windy and chilly.

We were lucky enough to see our first monk seal on the side of the road. The volunteer watching her told us her name is Lahela and she is going to have a pup in a few months. They keep track of all the monk seals around Hawaii because they are endangered.

Hau'ula Hike

3 weeks ago Rob and I decided to go hike the Hau'ula Loop Trail. We stopped and invited Katelyn and Brandon who live right by there and we had a fun time with them. It was an easy and pretty hike.

Look who has also hiked there...We had to leave our mark too. I hope it lasts for a while.

That night we went with Rose and Jess to Cholo's in Haleiwa. I thought it was pretty good food. I miss eating Mexican food!
